Command Post Update

Well it all seems a while ago since I started working on this piece of software.  With the release of Xiper’s game monitor I’ve been spurred on to get something decent to release.

Beta 3 was released a few weeks ago now and those who where fortunate to experience it where impressed.  Of course Xiper’s got a lot more acclaim as it’s a very slick piece of code.  I’ve made notes and decided to revisit a fair few portions of my code in the hope of speeding it up and creating a slicker project.

So far the changes since Beta 3 have been, new map control and I’ve converted from collections to arrays.

I’m still a few weeks away from an official release.  I’m implementing 2 versions, lite & command.

  • Lite will have captures, brigade positions in the first instance.
  • Command version will be as lite, however with the extra goodies like the ToEs trainer and command white board.  The ability to draw attack plans directly onto the map and forward them to HC Officers also connected.

Anyway, that’s that for now, I’ll get back when I have some screen shots sorted of the new version.
